Cheap for London - Horrible Service

There are two qualities that recommend this particular hotel: the cheap price and the two block proximity to a Tube station, Queensbury. If, however, you are looking for a centrally located hotel with helpful wait staff and spacious rooms, this is not the place for you. The tiny tiny room we were placed in could be overcome at first, but the increasing rudeness of the staff could not. We had booked three consecutive nights, then were not staying there for a night, and then three more consecutive nights because for one night we were going to be staying in Normandy France (super quick, fantastic jaunt over to see the landing beaches of Normandy). Despite the fact we were going to be returning after this two day/one night trip, the hotel absolutely refused to store the bulk of our baggage. The amount of baggage was significant because I was going to be staying in London for the entire fall semester and my dad was going to be there for two weeks - we didn't want to cart it all to France. We ended up packing it off to a locker at Paddington. There were many other affronts and inconveniences throughout our stay (like a lack of hot water, poorly functioning cable, a heater that always seemed to be turned full blast when we returned from a day of site-seeing). But....it was remarkably cheap when booked on travelocity. Win some, lose some.
