Going to Cancun on a backpacker budget is possible! This reasonably priced downtown hotel is decorated with touches of Mayan art throughout. By the looks of the lobby, one might expect a little more from the room. Plenty adequate for what a traveler needs, large bathroom, A/C and cable TV.
The pool was nice and got plenty of sun. Massage and spa treatments are offered on site. Breafast on the onsite restaurant was nothing special. I found the staff pleasant and friendly.

Located on a busy street in the heart of Downtown, plenty of bars and restaurants nearby cater to all budgets. Not far is Parque Las Palapas for people watching, shopping and local food. Hop on the bus to the beach and rent a chair. No need to spend thousand on a holiday!
