From the time we arrived to our departure, Dale and Jo View Suites exceeded our expectations. The welcome was warm and inviting and we immediately felt at home. At the last minute, my husband and I decided to get away for a few nights from our home in NC. After some internet research, I found Dale and Jo View Suites. My husband is not a big B&B fan—the overblown, overdone and over-the-top décor in some where we’ve stayed has kept us in hotels for the past few years. This time I wanted something a little warmer than the Marriott, and Dale and Jo View Suites was just right. We stayed in the Spa Room, which has the warmth we were looking for with none of the foofaraw. The room itself is very nicely appointed and the views are to die for. This is a 5 sided room with 3 of the sides being very large widows looking out over the valley and the Alaska Range. The private bath for the Spa is something one really must experience. From the large soaking tub, to the extra large jetted tiled shower, it was a delight getting ready each morning. Terrycloth robes are supplied, and even though we didn’t run into any of our fellow guests in the hall, it was nice to have the robes.
The grounds were wonderful (a great place to read a book and have a glass of wine after a hard day of sightseeing), and Dale and Jo the Innkeepers where very personable, professional and they where always available to answer questions, to help with directions, and to make suggestions for eating and sightseeing.
Customer service is just another of the wonders of this Bed and Breakfast. From the phone call to Jo to book the room, to the good-bye, we felt that the Innkeepers really cared about our stay.
This was a real treasure to find, and the Innkeepers attend to details...from home baked cookies to the home made breakfast each morning. I couldn't imagine a more perfect place to stay. I recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone traveling to Fairbanks for any reason.
