Katahdin Cabins - Great Rates and Friendly Hosts

This was our second trip to Katahdin Cabins (our first trip was earlier this year in March 2007). We had a great time! Our group (8 in total) stayed for 2 nights and the service was excellent. Homemade muffins and coffee in the morning; fresh baked cookies waiting for us in our cabins in the late afternoon and Skip (owner) even made us a very delicious key lime pie for dessert one night. Once again the cabins were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. With warm overnight temperatures, each cabin had 1 or 2 fans to keep the air moving.
We made three trips to Baxter State Park (BSP) during our stay - went for a nice swim at the Ledges (located about 5 miles north of Kidney Pond); hiked to Katahdin Lake (a 3 mile hike from the park road) and capped off our visit with a very pleasant swim at Togue Pond (near the entrance to BSP).
Our group would highly recommend Katahdin Cabins!
