An Idyllic Hotel in the Camargue

An Idyllic Hotel in the Camargue

We love the little walled town of Aigues Mortes, founded by King Louis (St. Louis) as his point of departure for the Crusades. And we were delighted to find this charming hotel in a restored 15th century house. The public rooms are spacious, elegant and inviting. There's a lovely, bright glassed-in room for our breakfast which was delicious. Our own room, which we were sharing with our two grandsons, was huge, with a tiled floor, two large beds, heavy drapes and beamed ceiling, and a gorgeous modern bath with double sinks, a tub, and a separate shower. The boys particularly enjoyed the "infinity" pool, enclosed but with views of the tranquil gardens.
