The timeshare itself is one of the most beautiful and unique I've visited. It's located 1 mile down a one-lane road in a restored village that was once a gunpowder factory. As a result, you're staying in cottages that are nearly 200 years old. Don't worry, however, the cottages have been beautifully restored and have all of the modern amenities. You can actually view pictures of some of the ruins before restoration in the snooker room.Resort Experience:The cottages are located within several private farms and offer relaxing views of pastures and water. The cottages were very well maintained, as were the grounds. It was a very relaxing and peaceful location; definitely one of the most beautiful and unique locations in the RCI catalogue.
The onsite restaurant is privately operated and offered excellent cuisine, but it was a bit pricey. Some residents complained about the lack of activities (particularly for children) compared to other resorts, but we did not find this a drawback, as we were there to tour Scotland, and did not stay put for too long.
