The apartments looked very nice and roomy. In our cottage we had a kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, stove, and other basics . . . There was a nice sitting area and the bathroom and bedrooms was very roomy and clean. Ceiling fans and standing fans were provided to keep cool at night.
The housekeeping ladies were wonderful. They would talk to us as they cleaned. They will do light laundry for you and even cook local meals in your cottage for a small fee. They even stopped by to say goodbye before we left the island.
This resort is a little closer to things to do than some other places. You are within close walking distance of an essentials mini-mart, and three restaurants and bars. You will still need a car to get around to Grand Anse or the north end of the island. Taxis are available, but it is almost the same as renting if you go out once a day. A dive shop is steps up the beach at the Calabash Resort.
There is an air-conditioned game room available as well, equipped with a pool table, ping-pong, air hockey, and full cable television. The property is beautiful with palm trees everywhere. It is a great place to get away, but still be close to the essentials.
