This hotel overlooks the 18th hole of the Old St. Andrews golf course, where the British Open is played. The rooms are all named after different golfers or tournaments, and the bathrooms and beds are very nice! If you're a golfer, this is a must; but then again, I'm not necessarily a golfer and the Old Course and the hotel were both fascinating. The town of St. Andrews is beautiful, absolutely steeped in history, plus there's a castle, a destroyed cathedral, and a university to visit- the one that Prince William will attend in about a year. This was my first stop and it was truly memorable!
