"Very Bad Experience"

Myself, and three others recently stayed in Villas De palermo for one evening on January 1st. We arrived at 5pm, knowing that check in was after 2pm. When we arrived we were not properly greeted or taken care of. We were asked to wait 5 -10 minutes, as reception was backed up. We waited almost a half hour and reception was still too busy to check us in. Instead, the people in charge decided they would just give us the key without properly checking us in.
We met a nice gentleman named Bosco who was kind enough to take us into town. We went into town at 7:30pm. We were told we could get a taxi back to the hotel for no more than five US dollars. After we finished dinner we looked for a taxi everywhere. We walked around for almost an hour. We then found another hotel and asked if they could help us. They called Villas de Palermo and received no response. They called multiple numbers. They then tried calling taxis or a car for us for half an hour. We were almost set to actually check into this hotel as they told us it was near impossible for us to get home. We ended up getting a friend of the hotels to drive us back for $20 US Dollars. We did not arrive back until almost 11:45pm. This ruined our evening as we had planned to relax in the villa and enjoy a bottle of wine we purchased and sit on our patio. This could not happen now.
Had we been properly checked in we would have known what number to call in an emergency and known that it was difficult to get back to the hotel after 8pm.
In the morning we went to reception and told them of this unfortunate situation. The lady there was not very friendly and said all she could do was credit us the 20 US Dollars. I then asked for a manger because we were not satisfied. We did not get to actually use our Villa in the way we intended. We wanted some kind of discount on our room. We explained the reason we were there was solely to look at the property to purchase a unit and we did not get to do that. We had a leaking refrigerator and a faulty water unit as it was clicking throughout the entire evening. Our house was filled with more ants and spiders than when we stayed in the jungle at Morgan’s Rock a half an hour away.
A manager was then presented to us. He was a gentleman and he said he agreed with reception and all he could do was offer us the $20 US Dollars.
We were very upset and wanted to leave the hotel. We went back to our villa and when we went upstairs we noticed that our bed had partially been made. We thought that was strange as nothing else was touched but we continued packing. We decided to leave immediately and go to a new hotel as we were upset and disappointed in our stay.
When I arrived at my next hotel we noticed that money had been stolen out of my wallet. It was in the amount of $120. I called the Villas de Palermo immediately and they told me they would look into it. They then told me to call back in half an hour. I called back and the woman I first spoke to (who was the same woman we dealt with the previous day) told me she did not find the money. It would be hard to find as it was taken out of my wallet the previous day. I told her that I was going to call AMEX to put a hold on my card because I was disappointed in my stay and as I was in mid sentence she hung up on me. This is absolutely unacceptable.
That day we actually ran into the man who was presented as the manager and found out he was in charge of tours and not a manager at all. This is absolutely absurd and inexcusable.
