Beautiful Stay on a Beautiful Island

Our stay at the Hotel Ilio last year was simply the best, the most comfortable and well cured I’ve ever been . The staff was so friendly, the food was divine and the location was memorable . Our room was very well cleaned , with a balcony and the sea-view .
I liked the cocktail on the terrace every evening and my husband a “caffè “ , like Italians do.
This year we will come back in autum , to do some trekking excursions.
Lovely Hotel Ilio on Elba island

How is it, that nobody knows this paradise on earth? In Italy, on the Elba Island you can find it.
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Ilio in July 2007 on our trip to Italy. We stayed in the Sant’Andrea room that is right in front of the sea. It was spacious and very comfortable, with all the needed amenities.
The local beach was nice but not that big. Me and my boyfriend had some fun walking on the rock paths that were on either side of the sandy beach.
The absolute highlight of our stay was the food. We LOVED our dinners. My boyfriend and I appreciate top quality food and this was some of the best we've ever had.
The hotel also has a very good selection of Elba wines.We had a cocktail before dinner every night.
The Ilio was a very lovely hotel and we definitely return for our honeymoon!

We stayed in a "sea room" on the second floor, with sea view. Room was spacious, clean, and exactly as advertised on the web site. www.hotelilio.com
Our hostesses Alessandra and Cincia were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Alessandra in particularly seems like a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about Elba. If there is anything you need, leave your request with the two of them, and you can definitely rest assured that everything will be taken care of promptly and well.
The location is great - literally steps away from Capo Sant'andrea's sea.
Heartily recommended.
