These cabins are a great way to either spend a nice, romantic weekend, or to take the family to "the great outdoors" without roughing it too much.
The cabins are nice, because there are no phones or TVs. They have everything else you need, though. The cabins come with stoves, refrigerators, kitchens, dining utensils, bed linens, blankets, and towels. So you don't really need to worry about packing much more than clothes, dish soap, and paper towels. There is heat and air-conditioning, and some cabins have fireplaces. You aren't, however, allowed to bring the family pet.
I went here when I was younger and loved every minute of it. I didn't want to leave. I felt like a 13-year-old Davey Crockett! It really is a great spot to bring the family. There is a minimum stay of two nights and longer stays on holiday weekends. You almost always have to make a reservation.
