Best Things About the Resort:
The condos are very well maintained and has a lot of style.
Resort Experience:
We visited Rayburn Country for the first time last weekend. It is a beautiful resort. Some of the roads are bumpy (at the actual resort) and the condos may seem a little dated, but they are well maintained and a delight to stay in.
The highway to Rayburn Country is wonderful. In the past, we had visited Hot Springs Village on a regular basis. Rayburn Country is similar to Hot Spring Village in Arkansas in many ways. It may not be quite as large or developed, but it is a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Our condo was a two-story two-bedroom unit. The condo had a nice dining room, wet bar, living room, and large kitchen. The two bedrooms were downstairs. All the rooms had a view of the lake. The condo was very well designed. We had a nice balcony over looking the lake.
If you like to play golf, Rayburn Country is the place for you. Other things to do are fish, walk on the beach, or just relax on the balcony and read. The condo had two TVs complete with Dish Network. The resort is about 1.5 hours from Nacatoches and an hour from Lufkin. Jasper is the closest town and is about 15 miles away. We ate at the Catfish Cabin (in Jasper), which was wonderful.
There are actually 4 different timeshares managed by Rayburn Country. They are Club Walk Villas, Golfview Villas, Player Place, and The Point. We stayed in The Point. I believe there are about 32 units in The Point. Many are in the woods with a limited view of the lake, if any at all. Most of the other timeshares (other than The Point) appear to cater to the golfer, and are close to the golf course, instead of the lake.
