Fantastic new hotel that only opened in May 2004. Very modern decor throughout.
LOCATION: Situated very centrally in Port de Soller, just a 50m walk to the beach. Located about halfway round the horseshoe bay, so provides easy access to the restuarants on either side of the bay. Situated just 50m from the bus station too, which doubles as a free car park from 5pm to 10am.
FACILITIES: The hotel has excellent facilities - the pool is great, surrounded by very stylish decking. The bar is pleasant if perhaps a bit cafe-like. The restaurant is light and stylish. There is a spa with gym, indoor pool, and whirlpool, which is also in impeccable condition.
RESTAURANT: Breakfasts are excellent with a large selection. One minor grumble would be that there's not much variety from one day to the next, so you ending up eating the same things every day. Lunch and dinner are á la carte and the food is delicious. We had lunch there one day and had the most amazing suckling pig (17.50 euro) and a fantastic desert. I can seriously recommend eating here at least once. However, it's reasonably pricey and there are LOTS of great places to eat in Mallorca (see the rest of my journal) so it all depends on how far your budget can stretch.
ROOM: Perfect - the modern decor is excellent throughout, the bathroom is large, and the view is as good as you could ask for. Our balcony (looking south) got good sun throughout the day, although you're slighly blocked by the large Hotel Eden across the road.
SERVICE: Service was faultless.
COST: All in all it offers very good value for what is currently the nicest hotel in Port de Soller. Ideal if you're looking for something above the usual budget fare.
