We found this Van-der-Valk four-star hotel by chance. Everywhere else was fully booked due to a bank holiday. The hotel itself is situated in what looked like an office estate. Public transport is within short walking distance and free parking available as well. Our room was spacious and sufficiently furnished. The room was really quiet, no plumbing noises, no noise from other rooms to be heard. The bathroom had a bathtub and a separate shower cubicle. Our room had a single size spare bed, even though we had booked for two. On the downside the double bed was really two singles put side by side. They tended to shift when you made a wrong move. The other thing on the down side was that the French windows opened onto the car park, which was handy for loading and unloading our cases. I did wonder about the safety of the window-locks however, which were on a solely mechanical basis, no keys if you get my meaning. Nothing happened while we were there, if we stay there again, I will ask for an upstairs room, though. Internet access is available, if quite expensive. You have to buy a kind of charge card from reception and prepay the time you intent to surf. Breakfast is buffet style and leaves nothing to be desired (Continental and English) Even the times are being handled liberally. The staff were generally friendly and helpful.
No photos unfortunately.
