This resort is actually located on the west side of the island which makes it very near the airport (about 5 - 10 minutes drive from there).

Located by the seaside, it doesn't exactly has a beach because the hotel has it's own private jetty / marina for yatchs and leisure boats.It is also 5 minutes of driving time away from Pantai Cenang, the most happening place in Langkawi (it has restaurants , pubs and shops )

The decorations and atmosphere of the hotel are quite good. You can basically get a very good sea and marina view from the lobby. The air is very cooling at night.

The rooms are OK which means it has the usual stuff e.g. TV, bathtub with hot water, a fridge and coffee/tea making facilities. But the view depends largely on the type of room you are in.

I got the cheapest room on the second floor(this place is not cheap) and my view was a empty field, parking lot and the roof of the walkway from the parking lot to the lobby. Summary, I got a lousy view.

A bit more money and the rooms can be upgraded to the sea view version depending on the vacancies, of course.

One thing good though, the buffet breakfast (provided free to the guests) is quite good compared to some of the other breakfast I had before. The omelette is quite good (because there's usually a 10 minute wait for it).

Other than feeding yourself, you can also take some bread from the buffet line (try not to make it so obvious) and feed the fishes at the jetty !!! Interesting marine life can be seen from the jetty. Crabs and fishes are a plenty.

There's a souviner / basic amenities shop where you can buy some stuff for convinience. The swimming pool is not too bad. Not very large but the kids will like it.

The only issue I had with this hotel was the distance from the hotel to town. It takes about 30 minutes of driving time ( we drive within the speed limit, of course ) to get to town to get a decent bite and some snacks / drinks.
