Still using member points we moved about a mile down the road from the Courtyard to the Holiday Inn Express which is right on the edge of the King of Prussia Mall. I want to go on record as stating this area is the hardest to navigate that I have ever found, no really. I am a very good, maybe even great navigator but the highway system here is impossible. The staff agreed with me saying even locals have trouble.
Once you manage to actually get here this is a very nice hotel. Our room had a king size bed with crisp white bedding, fridge, micro wave, coffeepot, closet with iron and ironing board, recliner and small balcony. We were very pleased. Then I walked into the bathroom and got my feet wet. We had a leak under our sink, once we figured out where it was we put our trash can under the sink and went out to dinner.
When we returned we asked at the desk if there was someone who could come and look at it. Maintenance had already gone home so they moved us across the hall to a suite. Oh my, we had expected any such thing but it was a real treat.
Suites are twice as big as regular rooms with a living room with TV, couch, recliner and upholstered chair. There is a kitchen bar with sink, micro wave, much bigger fridge a table and two chairs. The bedroom had a king bed and also a TV. The sink area of the bathroom is outside the room and is huge with lots of counter space and mirrors.
The bathroom is normal sized with very good water pressure and a decent amount of towels. There were four pillows on the bed and extra pillows and blankets in the closet.
Wireless is included in the price of the room and there is also high speed internet available if you are not wireless. In the lobby there is a business center that is open 24 seven. They don’t have a swimming pool here but they do have a fitness room and a whirlpool.
There are a lot of chain restaurants in the area and the closest is Ruth Chris with Bennigans a close second.
Breakfast is included in your rate. It is an extensive continental offered in a room off of the lobby. Bagels, muffins, cinnamon buns, Danish, croissants, cereal, yogurt, juices, coffee and hot chocolate, boiled eggs, waffles, apples, oranges and applesauce. There was a notice in our room that they are going to be adding omelets bacon and sausage to the buffet in the near future.
Parking is free. This hotel is geared toward business travelers and they offered everything you could want except scenery, our first room viewed the scenic highway and our second room viewed the scenic mall from our really large balcony with entrance from both parlor and bedroom.
