Triana Backpackers

Trying to find a hostel in Seville that was a good deal and in a good neighborhood was not an easy task. But, thankfully for Hostels.com, I came across this Triana Backpackers hostel for a mere $20 per person per night. Not a bad deal.

When we left the train station, we just really wanted to get to the hostel and shower, so instead of public transportation, we splurged for a cab. Our driver, a very nice man, drove us as far as he could but due to traffic, we could get all the way there. He pointed us in the right direction and only charged us 9 euros for the ride. I have to admit, I was a little scared at first because the road we were walking down was tad sketchy and there was, what I thought was at least, a hooker walking around. I found out later it was just a trashy girl who lived near by, but I was a little put off. However, when we entered the hostel, all of my fears were put off.

The front desk guy at Triana Backpackers was probably the nicest guy I have ever come across. He directed us to fun palces, gave us a map filled with great, and cheap, things to do and helped us with everything we needed while we were there. Now the rooms were nice but my roommates were a little strange. While I was there, the temperature was something like 93 degrees, so I wanted to turn on the a/c, but one kid, at like 2am, turned it off, and I awoke to a sauna and my bed was a pool. It was rough.

The bathrooms here were great; plenty of privacy, and tons of hot water and great water pressure. Also, upstairs, they had free Internet and a full kitchen. It was lovely, but the best part, I think, was the roof top where there were couches and tables and a couple of hammocks floating around. It was a great place to unwind after a long day of touristy stuff.

All in all, when I go back to Seville, I really want to stay back at the Triana Backpackers because the atmosphere, ambiance and accommodations were amazing for the price and the location could be beat. Enjoy!
