Maresias Hostel

HI Hostels in Brazil are usually better than Europeans as they gave up the hand of the silly kindergarten rules this chain applies in Western Europe. Most Brazilian travellers would avoid HI chain but this hostel sure has, for a lower price (Maresias is a fancy area for Sao Paulo coast standards) everything the other local guesthouses got plus a swimming pool, tv and pool lounge, kitchen and barbecue area, letting alone the good location. It’s right across the street from the beach and in a short walking distance from two of the city most popular nightclubs: Sirena and Lao.
All rooms have a maximum of 5 beds with lockers and private bathrooms.
Keep in mind it’s kind of a party hostel, there’s a bar next door, loud guests will be going in and out the night away and the hostel street is pretty busy at weekend nights, being recommended only for travellers looking to party and meet new people.
Early reservation is recommended on holidays.
