Description: If you are flying on China Airlines and taking the free overnight in Taipei, chances are you will find yourself being directed to get on the bus for the Taoyuan Holiday Hotel when you are given the reservation at the Airlines Transfer desk at Taoyuan International Airport.
Taoyuan Holiday hotel is located near the CKS International Airport. Normally it takes 10-15 minutes by bus to the airport and 20-30 minutes to central Taipei. The hotel is located in the city of Taoyuan and the train station is 4 kilometers away.
There is 12-storey building with pretty nice rooms. The rooms are equipped with complete facilities including cable TV, four-channel music radio, air-conditioning, and an IDD phone. The hotel has safe deposit boxes at the counter next to the check in counter. They also do currency exchange at the same counter. There is a small gift shop down stairs in the lobby as well.
The hotel restaurant serves a wide range of international cuisine for the breakfast that is included – Chinese-Japanese – and Western food. Guests can also make use of the recreational facilities that include gymnasium, swimming pool, sauna, and table tennis. Just remember that when overnighting – you only have what is in your carry on – so pack accordingly!
Bad part is the location – in central Taoyuan – and not really near anything walking distance wise. Unfortunately – there is not much in the way of anything to see around the hotel. There is a pastry shop and several small places to eat nearby and a 7-11. There is also a small mall within walking distance that you can find with a map from the hotel front desk.
