This hotel was located in Wildwood Crest which is south of Wildwood. The motel has five floors with all entry to rooms from outside walkways. The walkways are very narrow unless you are on the first floor so the bell carts won't work if you are on the second or higher floor. Be prepared to carry all your luggage. I have stayed at this property for 4 years now and they are now under new ownership and have replaced most of the beds and bedding in their rooms which is a huge improvement.
The 2 room efficiencies offer a full refrigerator, microwave, stove top (no oven), coffee maker, and all the kitchen utensils. So if you are trying to save some $$ on food an efficiency is the way to go. The bedding was 2 double beds in the back room (very tight squeeze) and a pull out sofa bed (double) in the sitting room. The bathrooms are small and the towels are rough and hard to come by so bring your own down. The rugs are in need of replacement and the tiling in the bathroom is very worn as well. The rooms overall need updating and the property itself is due for a major renovation.
The property is ideal for families as it has a pool with a sectioned off kiddie area (1ft deep), miniature golf (requires deposit for clubs), game room, and scheduled activities everyday (egg toss, Miss Oceanview and Mr Oceanview contests, penny dive, hot dog roast, and bingo) so good for families and across the street there's a wonderful playground! It sits next door to the Wildwood Crest Beach Patrol if you have a medical condition and across the street is the best pancake house around!
Overall the motel is acceptable and good for families who are not expecting a Hilton-type hotel. This is a typical beach motel with the typical crowds (large families that sometimes get a little loud until 3am in the morning). The location is good, you can jump a trolley (2 bucks a person) to the Wildwood Boardwalk or walk up (it's a bit of a hike though) - the motel has advertised they are going to do full renovations since it is under new ownership, however with that comes price increases and this past week we paid over $210nt for our room so if price increases too much it won't be worth the cost.
