Description: Located off the beaten path this budget motel turned out to be a wonderful find. With a coupon I found easily on the Internet, the price was right at just over $40 for a double room. We arrived before 9am in hopes of getting a room lined up and planned to come back later for check in. The clerk was very friendly and allowed us to go ahead and check in, so we were able to unload our bags and get on with the day without further worries about a room. I was very pleased with the rooms appearance. It actually looked as if it had been painted recently. The tub/shower combo also appeared to be new and recently installed. The room was very clean and comfortable. When we returned the following day the maid had it just as clean and tidy as when we checked in.
The pool was not large but there was plenty of room to splash around and cool off at the end of a hot day. Towels were provided pool side and when they ran out the clerk quickly brought more.
The free continental breakfast consisted of a couple kinds of bagels, English muffins, three varieties of cold cereal as well as a hot cereal. There was a variety of donuts, three flavors of juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and milk. Not a gourmet meal but plenty to start the day.
Branson has two alternate routes to avoid traffic on the main strip, Fall Creek Inn is located just off the southern route. I thought at first it might be inconvenient but it proved to work out wonderfully. We were able to cut across a side street and come out just a couple miles from the entrance to Silver Dollar City thus avoiding all the traffic at opening and closing time.
The Inn does not offer many of the extra amenities found in a lot of motels now. There are no blow dryers, irons, or coffee pots in the rooms. However, they do have free wireless Internet connection.
Over all for a standard motel room at a reasonable rate this can’t be beat. I will definitely be staying here again.
