The Dome Home is a lovely bed and breakfast near Denali National Park. It is run by a school teacher and a retired government worker. The building is in the shape of a octagonal dome and really quite interesting in design. Each room has its own bathroom and everything is spotless.
Each morning the owner prepares a cooked-to-order breakfast. If you are willing you can even get homemade elk sausage. We met some very interesting people at breakfast and got insight into what others were doing with their time in Alaska. There is a large picture window off the back, and if you are lucky, you can see wildlife walking right outside. We got a closer look at animals here than we did at Denali. It definitely beats a hotel.
