This large, newly renovated, spotlessly-clean three-bedroom, three-bath farmhouse centrally located in Tuscany--40 minutes from Florence, an hour from Siena, an hour from Pisa and Lucca)--in the heart of Chianti-country was less than €200 per night. There are large grounds, complete with a large in-ground pool (seasonal), chairs and table on the brick patio for meals and relaxation. There are also large grounds which my toddler grandchildren were encouraged to run through. Furnishings are country Tuscan--think rustic--satelite tv, complete kitchen, and washing machine. The owner, Gianna Zanelli, is a friendly, outgoing, extremely helpful young woman who wants you have the best time exploring her countryside. Her English is limited, but with some "travel Italian" and her English, everything was great. She has a couple of friends who speak excellent English, so I think if there was a problem, she could call them. During high season, she and her mother make Tuscan specialties for the guests to enjoy. A bottle of the family wine from the vineyards that surround the farmhouse is awaiting upon your arrival. I cannot say enought about how clean the place was, how helpful Gianna was, and how much she wants the guests to enjoy her place. This is great for families and groups. There is another matching 3BR apartment connected to the one we rented. She also has a smaller apartment on the property that I did not see.
