Location, location, location – this inn has a front porch to retire on and faces a lake. The four rooms are tastefully appointed so as not to be museum-unlivable, with softly toned wallpaper and veneered furnishings. Room no. 1 has a sleigh bed and offers plenty of light. The handsome living room is inviting, with its big-screen TV suitable for movies, sports, or CNN. The dining room's generous windows make for a sunny breakfast. Cushy sofas grace the lace-curtained parlor should you ever need to leave the porch-front view. The North Country Inn is a pleasantly plush getaway for skiers, romantic weekends, or weary Bostonians.
