Where Herds of Elephants Once Roamed

Ol Tukai Lodge – Amboselli
This lodge is magnificent. On arrival we are given nice warm towels to clean the red dust from our faces and hands as well as exotic cold juice.
Our room is actually a little villa with stone floors and a front verandah. Animals roam close by so we are escorted to and from our room to the main lodge .Once again the food is fabulous and the service first rate. We take a refreshing swim in the pool between game drives in an effort to work off our huge lunch .
World renowned for its location for viewing huge herds of elephants, sadly the horrific drought has changed all that. Today the elephant population is barely surviving.

This is the most beautiful lodge in or around Amboseli. There are direct views of either wildlife in the swamps or Mt. Kilimanjaro. You're right in the middle of everything and don't have to travel far to see the game. The food was very good, there were Maasai dancers, and the employees were fantastic. It's easiest to fly from Wilson Airport directly to the airstrip and be picked up by staff. I have stayed here nine times in 5 years and wouldn't stay anywhere else.
