This is in a nice little secluded location on a cliff overlooking the spectacular beach of the tan and black sands of the Pacific Ocean. It's off the Transamerica Highway, a couple kilometers past San Carlos and about 75 minutes west of Panama City. There is a nice quiet restaurant. It offers small but nice rooms and is very inexpensive, only $30 during the weekdays. There if a good-size pool but no frills: no phone, no hot water, and no cable. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom adequate. There was no daily maid service, though. During the week, the place is almost empty. The beaches and coves are very nice. The service is great and the menu is limited but tasty. Room no. 15 has the best view of the ocean.

It is near a good beach for walking, shell collecting, and tanning. Be careful when swimming, as many large rocks abound. There are amazing tide changes on the beach. It's good for surfers, too. Overall, it's a quiet area that is not within walking distance of anything, but one that is good for relaxation.
