Description: I have to tell you that I love this hotel. Growing up we’d often stop at this place on our way to visit my family in California. It’s a nice little hotel with wonderful sized rooms. The beds are always comfortable and clean as well as the rest of the room. It’s only one story so you don’t have to worry about noisy people above you. They also have parking spots in front of each room so you never have to walk very far.
The landscaping of this place is beautiful. Everything is always green and nicely mowed. They have 2 big pools which have always been clean. There are locked gates surrounding the pool so you don’t have to worry about your kids just wandering into the pool. There were also always tons of lounge chairs to sit on. There is a Denny’s restaurant right next store that you can walk to. I always feel safe when staying at this hotel too. The only 2 things I didn’t like about it were
1. You couldn’t have the air conditioning on if you weren’t in the room. In order to turn on the a/c you had to have the door lock bolted shut. I know it’s a way to save money on electricity but it still kind of sucks. The only way you can get out of this is if you have a room with a sliding glass back door, but the only problem with that is you can't lock up your room. For some reason I can't remember If all the rooms have a front and back door but I know some do.
2. The last room we stayed in I believe was one of their suites or upgraded rooms. They had it where you could fold up the beds into the wall, which was pretty cool. The only downside was that in order to have the television on, you had to have these little lights also on above the bed. They were somehow connected to the same power source or outlet. I’m the kind of person who has to sleep with the TV on. I couldn’t do that in this room without those lights staying on. Another way for them to save money. Totally understandable but still sucked.
Overall, this hotel is one that I’d highly recommend. Like I said, I’ve been staying in this hotel on family vacations for as long as I can remember and will continue to do so with my kids when we go to California.
