City Bayview Hotel

This hotel is well known by the locals and since it's rather tall it's hard to miss it. A taxi ride will cost you about 10 dollars or 38 ringgit from the airport, which is really rather expensive for South East Asia. I paid $44 dollars a night including breakfast for two. The hotel is considered a 4-star, and you probably can't complain about the facilities with the exception of the pool which is tiny and nothing special. Take the number 11 bus out to Batu Ferrigini and use the Bayview Hotel there for their beach and pool. It's about an hour drive there, and set us back 25 ringgit compared to only 2 ringgit per person for the bus.
The hotel has a nightclub in the basement, several restaurants. I only tried the revolving restaurant, which is cute, but the food was expensive and horrible. Eat from the street stalls if you can. The hotel offers 2 bottles of water free per day.
The location of the hotel is great for downtown sites, and is a 15-minute walk over to the ferry as well.
