Cielo Mar - Rent A Car!
Cielo Mar is Spanish for "Ocean Sky." Yes, you are near the ocean when you stay here, but you are also in the sky.
Despite the altitude, the hotel does not offer much of a view. And, despite the fact that you're NEAR the ocean, you have to walk nearly twenty minutes down the street to reach Playa Crashboat, the nearest beach.
If you're going to stay at Cielo Mar, I suggest renting a car. The hotel is on a local thoroughfare, lined with inexpensive restaurants, but there is not much of interest within easy walking distance. Since the hotel is so inexpensive ($65 per night), a rental car won't break the bank. My girlfriend and I spent under $500 each on plane tickets, the hotel stay, and the rental car for a four-night stay in Aguadilla. With a car, one can also drive to the beaches of nearby Aguada, and surf hotspot Rincon.
The hotel Cielo Mar itself is clean and comfortable, with a cafe/bar in the courtyard. The low price makes for a no frills stay, but not a bad one at all.
