My husband and I stayed over night here for our first anniversary and enjoyed our stay very much. We booked our stay through the Stoney Creek website, which at the time was running a promotional Internet rate of $67 a night for any room but a suite. At that rate, our stay was a steal!
We booked an expanded king whirlpool room, which gave us a king room with a whirlpool tub for two in the corner, plus cable, a mini-fridge, and a spacious bathroom. The entire hotel is done up in a rustic hunting-lodge type theme, which adds character and sets it apart from simply being another chain. We were given a corner room overlooking a grassy area- the views were great!
Before our stay, we had no idea what breakfast would be like, but we were pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was an "expanded" continental breakfast - featuring the normal things like cereal, bread, fruit, bagels, and juice, but also featuring hot biscuits and gravy. We were pleased and left quite full!
We would definitely stay at the Stoney Creek Inn again, if the price were right. The regular rack rate of $139 for the room we stayed in would be a little too pricey for us.
