We recently returned from our vacation in Highland Manor B&B, and we still can’t get the smile off of our faces. We loved every minute of our stay, from the minute we drove up the driveway. Surrounded by nature and distant from any main road, this beautiful house is surrounded by trees and has a big lovely garden in front of it.

The house has five rooms, one on the first floor and four on the second floor, and all of them are designed with good taste. We stayed in the country room, which includes a private bathroom, shower, hot tub, queen size bed, a fire place, two sinks, TV and DVD (there’s also a DVD and video library that you can choose movies from). But what made it extraordinary was the attention given to the small details such as the linens, bed-side tables, towel holders, lamps, etc. We loved our beautiful room which had quite the homey feel to it.

Tim, the friendly and pleasant innkeeper, prepared and served our breakfast every morning. We woke up to the delightful smells of a freshly baked breakfast served hot from the oven (or the pan). Tim has a great eye for the small but so important details. Our breakfast was not only delicious, but also very pleasing to the eye. We had a hard time digging in, as we didn’t want to "ruin" it.

Tim’s hospitality was wonderful and he does a great job in creating a cozy atmosphere around the house. He’s thought about everything you might need: information on sites and attractions in the area, restaurant recommendations and driving directions, huge selection of tea as well as coffee, cookies and cereal available 24 hours a day in the dining room, and many more small things that made our stay so comfortable.

One last note, we read the reviews for Highland Manor on this site before we decided to reserve a room there. We were a little bit concerned about the house rules after we read one of the reviews here. However, after spending our vacation there, we can say that there is nothing wrong with them. They will only make sure that you could fully, and safely, enjoy your stay.

Bottom line, if you are looking for a good place for your weekend escape, this is the perfect place for you! We highly recommend Highland Manor B&B!
