Rex Hotel

Rex Hotel, established 1899, represents the best this town has to offer and it is not very far from the train station. The room is nice though somewhat cramped and small for this class hotel, but comfortable. Our room featured a balcony, sizable bathroom, mini-fridge with a stocked mini-bar, wi-fi access for an additional fee of €7 for 3 hours of use, quite pricey. There's an Internet cafe close to the train station we made use of later on. The beds are firm, but comfortable enough to sleep on, the bathtub is narrow and higher than the floor, so beware of the difference getting in or out of the tub. There's a cafe, restaurant, and lecture room. Breakfast buffet is included served from 7:15am to 10:15am. There's also a restaurant on the premises open from Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 4:30pm and 7:15pm to 12:15am; Sunday from 6pm to 12:15am. The staff are somewhat mixed on the English fluency depending on who's behind the desk and shift. The person during the day was quite fluent and helpful, directing us to a couple of shops for a seamstress to have something repaired. Check-out is noon. Credit cards accepted.
