This was our second trip to this resort, although the first since it was purchased and taken over by Westgate Lakes. We found the staff more professional and friendly than last time though perhaps pushier about their sales presentation which we always decline, and the units better maintained and cleaner, even though we stayed in one of the older 10-year-old units.
We were on the top floor of Building 1 in a 2-bedroom lockoff unit that was nearly as large as our house! Our 6-year-old daughter was a little fearful about staying in her bedroom located so far from ours, but warmed up to it after the first night.
Being one of the older units, our patio was not screened in like some of the newer units are, and we were somewhat bothered by wasps buzzing around us during the day. So we just stayed inside during the days we were there and just enjoyed the amazing view of the lake.
Although this resort is mostly lakefront, it does not have easy lake access with the slope of the shore being so steep. It is not really meant to walk down though we did see some people doing that. The marina close by also does not allow swimming off of their docks so swimming for us was relegated to the outdoor pool (the indoor pool was closed for maintenance). That was ok with us since we knew we were going to have more lake access at a different resort the next week, and we were busy during this week going to Silver Dollar City, Celebration City, and White Water all a 10 to 20 minute drive from our condo.
Our daughter really likes crafts and did participate in 3 or 4 different craft activities even though each one had a cost of $3.
In summary, we really like this resort and look forward to coming back again in a couple of years when we do this all over again.
