We wanted to getaway from the busy city for a weekend so we rented a bus and drove south to the beach town of Sihanoukville (named after the last king before the khmer rouge). It's a beautiful beach mostly enjoyed by the locals. We randomly picked a hotel that was conveniently located across the beach, which resulted to this place.
Since we were with family, this was a good semi-fancy option. The place looks great on the brochure but I would say it's a holiday inn trying to be elegant. It's pretty basic, you get your own bathroom, sheets and towels (don't expect them to be nice and fluffy, I'm sure they hang dry them). TV is available and breakfast is included. The price depends on which floor and what view you want. The only thing i didn't care for was the strong mold smell. It's hard to have the windows open when it's hot and humid outside. It doesn't matter when you'll be spending most of your time at the beach anyway.
