The Stone Mountain Inn is a great way to get in the mood for the Deep South. The hotel looks like a giant old brick mansion. The wrap around porch has beautiful towering white columns. The hotel is within walking distance to Stone Mountain Park. The park used to be nothing more than a big rock and some laser light shows. But in the past few years, they have totally redone the park, and now, it’s like a historic amusement park. It really is fun for all ages. There are things especially for young kids, older kids, and adults. The most popular thing is a picnic on the lawn in front of the mountain for the laser light show.
The hotel rooms are nothing special. They are typical hotel rooms, but at least they are clean and the staff is nice.
