Knotty Pine Motel

The Knotty Pine is a local fixture in Bennington. It is a very nice example of the old American roadside Motor Lodge. We stayed here on our way back from Niagara Falls. One advantage from the design of those days is you can park your car at the door and walk right in. No steps or stairs, no lobby, no elevators. We stayed in a front corner room with two large bay windows. This motel has stayed in the current owners family for over 31 years and has recently been taken over by the daughter of the previous owners and her husband. They are in the process of modernizing some aspects. The room was good sized with two queen beds and a fridge, microwave, writing desk, coffee area, HBO, and best of all complimentary wireless Internet. The exterior is very well kept and grounds and pool are neat and clean. Management is onsite and were very friendly and helpful when we thought we had a problem with Internet set up. Also, the price is right. We would definitely stay here again.
