Best Things Nearby:
Casino and walking.

Best Things About the Resort:
The view from our studio, overlooking the ocean and the dolphins going by everyday.

Resort Experience:
It was very quiet, a lovely pool and restaurant overlooking the ocean... just beautiful. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The week was very nice and relaxing. I loved the view, and the relaxing sound of the birds and the waves without even having to close a door in the evening.

Best Things About the Resort:
The rooms in this resort are in the process of being redone. Although our unit was not as yet redone, it was large and very comfortable. We had a king size bed and a full kitchen which was fully stocked. The sitting area in the unit was quite large and the unit had two televisions. There was a terrace overlooking the beautiful infinity pool and the ocean. The only drawback about our room, which was a major one, was the fact that there were bugs near the kitchen sink. Every morning when I'd put on the light over the counter, there were many crawling insects. On two occasions I asked for an exterminator, but it didn't seem to help.

Resort Experience:
St. Martin is like paradise. The beaches on the French side have powdery sand and blue warm water. Renting chairs and umbrellas there was costly ($13) per day for two chairs and one umbrella. Food on the French side is expensive as well, but worth it. We preferred the beaches and restaurants there to those on the Dutch side. The casinos for gambling are on the Dutch side. We didn't gamble every night, but when we did, we found the staff friendly and fun. This was my 5th visit to St. Martin and I've seen lots of changes over the years. The island is much more populated now and traffic is awful. A rental car is recommended for going around the island to shop or go to beaches.
