I cannot describe in words how beautiful it is to sit out on the balcony any time of the day and take in the beautiful views. The beach which VBC are situated on is very quiet and whilst no beach in St. Lucia is private, this is as good as—during our 7-day stay there was never anyone on the beach aside from VBC residents. For sunbathing there is a lovely sunbathing area looking out on to the beach and there are sun loungers and hammocks to lie out on or you can walk 20 steps and sunbath on the beach.
I would have loved to have had my wedding reception there but I did not realise that this was possible until I arrived and spoke to the staff there who I know would have given me the best day of my life. It is the one regret of my holiday/honeymoon that I did not hold it there instead I went to the unnecessary expense of holding it in the Sandals Grande where I was very dismayed with the service and lack of personal attention bestowed upon me apart from the expense of it.
I have done a lot of travelling and if I am not happy with a room or service I have no qualms in letting the hotel know this and I have often asked for our room to be changed if I feel it is not up to standard. There is nothing I can fault Villa Beach Cottages on, if there was one it would be that they do not have such a place in every part of the world! It offers such a personalised and friendly service yet at the same time they are very professional and are available if you need them but are not intrusive. We will definitely return to St Lucia and will definitely stay at Villa Beach Cottages again because for us going back to St. Lucia and not staying VBC would not hold the same appeal.
