This is your typical style hotel chain with your typical style hotel amenities. However, there was something about this hotel that sparked my interest.
After spending 2 nights at the hotel, I found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I was in search of scissors, they had them. I was in search of how to locate the hotel, they gave me directions. I wanted to use their pool after hours...well, they didn't let me but they sort of hinted around that I could use my room key and jump in.
There is a continental breakfast served from 6am to 10am, with coffee and tea available during the day.
I had a suite and wasn't able to see the "regular" size room. The suite is nothing that its cracked up to me. The bedroom area has a king bed with a pull out full-sized couch. The pillows where very comfortable and fluffy, unlike your typical pillows you'd find in other locations. I did sleep on the pull out couch both nights. Now, I have to be selective on my bedding choices since I have a bad back. Well, I woke up both mornings with no pains.
The bathrooms are what makes this room a "suite." It is a large bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. There is good water pressure from the shower head is sufficient, but the water pressure from the sink wasn't great. We had two suites, and the water pressure in the other one was much better. There is no fan in the bathroom, so if you "steam" it up, there is not too much to do except open the door. There is soap, conditioner, lotion, and shampoo available in the bathroom. Hairdryers are also supplied mounted in the wall.
There is a lack of outlets if you have several electronics you need. You'll need to unplug a few lamps and perhaps the TV. There is free Internet access available in the room. If you forgot your computer at home, there is a computer available in the lobby free of charge.
To locate the Hampton Inn, take I-93 to I-89, exit 1 and its right off the exit. If you are looking for a cheaper night stay, this hotel is an OK pick.
