Description: The McMillan Inn (http://www.mcmillaninn.com/) is a townhouse about 2 blocks east of Forsythe Park at the bottom edge of Savannah's historic district. We were able to park on the street right in front of the house each time we arrived. We stayed at the McMillan Inn one night during our 2-night stay in Savannah. We were able to drop off our bags in the morning after leaving our previous hotel to be held until our room was ready while we went on for more sight-seeing. When we came back in the afternoon our bags were waiting for us in our room. We stayed in the lovely Abercorn Room ($175 per night; $196 total after tax added) on the inn's second floor.
There were oriental carpets on the floor and dark wood furniture (bed, dresser, two small tables, large mirror-front wardrobe, and writing desk). We had a four poster queen bed with curtains that could be drawn around all four sides of the bed and a twin daybed in a corner of the room that we used as our TV watching spot. There was a mini fridge in our room with water, sodas, and juices ready for us when we arrived and a personal coffee maker with coffees and hot teas for us to make if we wished. The bathroom was quite small but very efficient with a little nook for the toilet and a square shower stall opposite the toilet. The shower stall does not have a light in it and it seems like it would be very dark as you try to take a shower, but the curtain is just sheer enough to let in plenty of light from the main bathroom light fixture for one to shower by.
