They have remodelled and renovated their lobby and rooms. Even though their exterior building might not give you an astounding impression for a comfortable stay, the modern design and decor of their lobby definitely does give you a warm welcome for your stay in their hotel.
There is a spa on the lobby level of the hotel called Tru Spa, and it offers a lot of service which one couldn't find elsewhere with reasonable price.
The room is very nicely decorated, with a large spacious desk along the window. It is excellent for business travelers when you'll have to work in the hotel room. The bed is high raised and very soft.
When we were planning where to stay in San Francisco, we thought you would bid for hotels around Union Square. However we lost the bid, and we got the Hilton in financial district instead. We were not very excited about this at first, but after staying here, we thought it was excellent. Transportation is convenient, you can take Bus 15 to Fisherman's Wharf, take the Van Ness Cable Line to the Pier Plaza, and Bus 30/45 or walk to Union Station. It's a good deal to bid online if you're traveling on budget.
