This was a truly beautiful and luxurious hotel. The rooms were magnificent, large, and very comfortable. The room even came with its own patio and small pool. However, we were somewhat disappointed with it. For the price we paid I would have expected better service. The hotel just didn’t do the little things right.
We had paid extra to have a room with a pool. However, the first day we were there the pool was freezing. We inquired about this and we were told that the pool would be heated the next day. However, the next day came and the pool wasn’t heated and we repeated this process again every day and never got the pool heated.
There were other little things that the hotel just didn’t get quite right, either. For example, we had the concierge make train reservations for us but he made them for the wrong station. Also the hotel gym was only open 6 hours a day (9am–12pm and 3–6pm). These types of little things are small and they would be a big deal if we were staying someplace less expensive, but if you are paying such high rates you expect the hotel to make everything perfect.
As you can see in the pictures the hotel is truly magnificent, but I probably won't stay here again. Don’t get me wrong, this is a quality hotel; I just don’t feel the price justifies what you get here. Also I would have preferred to stay in Capri Town instead of Anacapri.
