Esmeralda by the Sea

I recommend to anyone travelling in Chile to head down to a little town called Chonchi and to stay at Esmeralda by the Sea, a rather large hospedaje with an English speaking owner. The place is literally on the water, and there is always a great view. The host will hook you up with anything from fishing to horseback riding. Prices range from 5000 a night to 12000ish for the suites. For an extra 1500 he'll even cook for you. I had one of the best breakfasts I've had in years here this morning.
