Would look elsewhere...

We arrived (7-16 through 7-19-2009) to find our comforter had blood on it, and the sheets were stained with some pink stuff, the guy at the counter didn't seem too concerned when it was brought to his attention. They did send up a new comforter but failed to write it down in their 'problems or requests' book. And to add to all that our room did not get serviced any of the three days we were there. We are frequent stayers at Hampton Inn's and this was a disappointment, but I am hoping it was just us that got all the problems at once and everyone elses stay will be perfect! You cannot beat the beach front and pool areas, they are well maintained. The rooms are showing their age. Their guarantee says "100% satisfaction or we don't expect you to pay"...take that with a grain of salt. We did get one night removed to their defense..it still isn't their full guarantee. Be aware that someone charges you $10/hr for use of a chaise and umbrella if you want it..I recommend going to Sam's Club and getting the one they have for $25, it worked out for us quite nicely!

Great hotel, you need to stay here!

This was a wonderful hotel. The ocean-view rooms had such a great vista, the Gulf of Mexico right off your balcony. The complimentary hot breakfast also included many continental breakfast options, with all-day coffee. The hotel provided pool and beach towels. Our room was so clean that I had no problem letting my one-year-old play on the floor. Having an in-room fridge and microwave made feeding the kids so easy and convenient. Upon entering our room, we had more than the standard four towels. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the decor was tastefully simple, easy on the eyes. We were there during either spring break or a college function, lots of "kids" running around, and once in the room you couldn't hear the noise from the hallway or another floor. My kids slept like logs. This was really a great place to stay. We had a bit of an issue getting a crib for my one-year-old, but other than that the staff was fantastic.

This was our 2nd trip to the area and staying at this Hampton--we love it! The Gulf front room is so nice to look out of and the cleaning staff was so upbeat and friendly each and every day to us. Front desk quick and efficient, we even came a day early and they were able to accomodate us.

Very nice

All the positive reviews were right about this place. Very nice, clean, good sized rooms, right on the beach. Right in the middle of everything. And affordable too. Next time I'll have to spend a little extra for a room on the beach side with a balcony. Would have been worth it.

Wonderful Hotel!

Right on the beach. Good restaurents nearby. Free parking lot and it is large. continental breakfast is similar to most hotel/motel chains. Okay. We have stayed here before and that is why we returned.
