Great hotel (and they allow pets!)

I am traveling long distance with 2 cats and was looking for a safe, clean, mid-priced hotel (between Super 8 and Marriot) that allows pets. I usually book a room the night prior using the internet - sometimes I do good, sometimes, I regret it. I really lucked out with this hotel - a pleasant surprise after a long drive. It is located in a nice neighborhood with most shopping/restaurant choices you could want within walking distance or 1 mile. The was very professional, efficient and friendly. The hotel itself has a great energy to it. There is a lot going on here with the event center and pool. The gym is a real gym, not just a small fitness room with a couple pieces of exercise equipment. There is a bar and a restaurant on site. The restaurant is phenomenal. I splurged a bit and ordered room service for dinner. The kitchen staff was super friendly and the food was superb! If you come here, I highly recommend you try the ribs. The ribs had a great BBQ that was flavorful with a little bit of burn afterwards. The meal contained so much food that I couldn't finish it - a rare occurance for me. The room was great. I loved the flat screen TV and the half sized fridge. It appeared to have been recently renovated - so everything looked fresh, the bedding, carpet, curtains, etc. There were a ton of cable channels (more than most hotels) to include HBO. They do allow pets for a $5/night fee which is nothing compared to most hotels. They have wireless internet and the room charge incudes a continental breakfast. Also, it was one of the only places that offered a military discount (a significant difference). I highly recommend this hotel!

Fitness center was great but, because it is staffed (actually a separate business?), it closed at 6 p.m. on Saturday, just when I was ready to go work out :-(
Nice activity/pool center but couldn't get sauna very hot.
Very good breakfast--fruit was very fresh and tasty.
Very business friendly.

This bestwestern has a lot to offer! The fitness center is bigest I have ever seen at a hotel ! They even had classes like spinning - we one joined for free! The pool area is nice too you can which the kids through a glass wall in the atruim area and not have all the pool noise. We had dinner at their restaurant which was themed in the old west. The prime rib and bbq ribs where great and the kids enjoyed thier pizza. Over all this bestwestern was a lot of fun for the family.
I liked it

Its great to have a place to stay that will welcome you back after multiple stays, and not treat you like a stranger. We have stayed there 15 or more times over the past year, and have never been disappointed. The odor from the new carpet replacement is not wonderful, but the new carpeting makes the rooms worth the cost.
