Has potential

This place has it made for location - it's out of the hubbub of Kona but close enough to go to town for dinner. Overlooks of clear lagoons are awesome and the snorkeling next to it is not to be missed. The pool was tiny and dingy and there were pregnant cats in abundance in the pool and gardens area. The hallways had very filthy carpets and noise was a bit of a problem because of a late night party downstairs.

"Excellent resort, needs better reception service"

We really enjoyed the resort on our recent trip. The rooms need new carpets as they are dirty and the reception desk is not really friendly since we had requested king size bed but they ever not willing to accomodate it. We had to sleep on full size bed for 4 days.

We stayed at the Outrigger Keahou Bay Resort last wk. . It is a very nice resort- It was so calming to sit in the Verandah Lounge over the tidal pools, watching the turtles, and fish. Their grounds are very nice, well kept and the hammocks are truly a place to unwind. We had good food in the restaurant- I didn't think food was anymore expensive there than anywhere else we ate. When I mentioned the stained carpets upon checking out I was told that they are doing a major renovation in Sept.

awesome for price

My boyfriend and I chose this hotel for it's price and location. It's away from the major ali'i drive shopping (so you'll need a car--they also have a trolley if you don't want to rent a car). The snorkeling is THE BEST. Great for kids (area is calm and lots to look at). The grounds was beautiful. My hotel was very clean and were terrific for the price. The verandah lounge was awesome. For a stiff drink have an "itch." Didn't do the buffet (too expensive). We at down at the shopping area (much cheaper and better). We can't wait to go back.
