My first and last time at this hotel

Okay here is my fair and honest opinion of this hotel...... At first glance it looks okay from street level. The staff at the desk were friendly and polite. Room was fair, bit on the small side but okay. Appeared cleaned, desk lamp inop, only 2 towels for a room with double beds. The A/C unit barely cooled the room, but I attribute that to the 2 heater bars that were constantly on with no way to turn them off. One was directly over the window and the A/C unit, the other in the vanity area. First morning there everyone showered and left for the day. When we returned later that afternoon we expected to find the beds made and fresh towels but we found the opposite. Beds were un-made, no fresh towels even though the dirty towels had been removed from the room. We had to walk to the front desk to request fresh towel linens. I work for a major airline and travel often and this is the first time I've ever had a room where the beds were never made when housekeeping came through. As a side note, I also notice there were no heat settings on the air unit, only "cool" settings. I can also say this is the first room I've ever had where the heat was constantly "on" since there was no way to power off the heat bars that were at located on the wall where the wall meets the ceiling. We're in Charleston often and will never use this location again.
