Description: We travel a fair amount and usually don't stay in the same place for more than a night, but recently we went out of our way and extended our stay at the Best Western Park Plaza.
We picked the Best Western Park Plaza because it was fairly priced, offered free breakfast and cookies, the pictures on the website looked good and other family members in town for the wedding were also staying there (no we did not book a group rate).
We got to the hotel late to check in and upon entering I saw that the pictures on the website did do the hotel justice, it's beautiful! Warm and inviting with comfy chairs and excellent, friendly staff. Our room was equally nice with comfortable beds and ample space to move around in; even with 3 adults and baby Guster there was plenty of room. The bathroom is quite small, but it is servicable. There is also a nice area set up with a microwave and mini fridge with storage above (perfect for the bottles of formula we brought with us).
Every morning there was a wonderful breakfast spread out with hot entrees, breads, cereal, teas, coffees, yogurt and fruit. There were two women overseeing the breakfast and clearning tables. In the evening you could come out and get hot drinks (cider, hot chocolate, tea, coffee) along with a cookie or two (or three or four). There were several varities of cookies each night and there was even honey and lemon for your tea.
Above all service was wonderful! Desk staff were always pleasant and very helpful. They recommended places for haircuts, told us how to get to Costco, were very patient with the crazy mother of the bride (no I'm serious, she was crazy) and were interested in how our stay was going and even how the wedding went! Housekeeping kept our room clean, were happy to provide more towels and a change of sheets in the middle of the day (note to self, next time bring a bathtub for the baby, he does not appreciate being bathed in the sink or on the bed), and best of all kept Guster's changing station (set up on a desk) clean but untouched.
I only wish we travelled to Puyallup more often so that we could stay there.
