The staff is great and discrete, the rooms are clean and perfect to run away with my best half and enjoy a weekend. Close to the isle casino it was fun and cheap.

What was right..there was a building at the address..What was wrong every thing almost was broken..they even new it and had a sign in the lobby " they know everything is broken, don't bother telling us, as we are working on it". Too late online travel website already had my money, i checked in, and the hotel was not about to give it back..
This would be a great place for railroad enthusiast..real active trains 50 feet from your only room window, which they had screwed shut (read only exit is the main door of hall way) ; I digress..trains like to keep their 150 de`cible horns blasting..these are the same horns cruise ships use against Somali Pirates!
Well this is one of the hotels your guy missed.

I would like to express my complete disgust with the Red Roof Inn in Oakland Park, FL.
I checked in on 10/9/08, and when I saw the condition of the room I was assigned (mold and water damage, dirty sheets, weak A/C, no smoke detector), I asked to be moved to another room. I was told that this could not be done as the hotel was booked up.
Against my better judgment, I stayed in the room anyway and during both nights of my stay, I witnessed a parade of unsavory characters. I could not sleep as I was repeatedly subjected to yelling and screaming in the halls throughout the night.
Not only will I never stay at this particular facility again, because I was so grossed out by my experience, I probably will not stay at a Red Roof Inn again anywhere in the United States!

Room was OK but noise from nearby transit train was a big annoyance. Hotel moved me to a room further from the track. An improvement but still a noisy location.
