Just What I Needed

The front desk staff was friendly and informative when checking in/out. The hotel is on the older side, but the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the roon had a fridge and a microwave, which is a bonus when staying more than one night. Another bonus is the hotel is well situated in an area with lots of restaurants - some chains and some local flavor; The Blue Goose is excellent and right around the corner. In the beginning, I was a little apprehensive about staying in a room alone with an exterior door, but everything was quiet and I felt safe. I have already booked my next stay for business.

We checked in, put our luggage in our room and left. We were in town to pick up my terminally ill mother and take her back to Arkansas with us. When we got back to our room late that evening, our room keys would not work. We went to the front desk and saw our suitcase. Apparently we were put into the wrong room and the hotel staff moved our personal belongings. In this exchange, we lost a small package of items and some leftover food we had purchase on the way to Dallas. Room was fine and it was clean but nothing special. This particlar room did not have a refrig or microwave and the breakfast bar was not quite as good as other Quality Inn & Suites we have stayed in.
Okay for the Money

Overall an okay hotel. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable with good pillows, more so than I would have expected at this price point in this area. It's within walking distance of a couple of nice restaurants. On the down side, I was concerned about security, especially for the room I got which was in the back facing a deserted street. Room quality was okay.

The hotel did not feel secure, large party next door with music and lots of noise, Curtains were broken, unable to secure privacy at night -- tried by using a paper clips, I did not feel safe,,, one girl alone in a room with a party next door... I will not stay at this propery again. I did not feel safe!!
